Lula Café is truly an institution in Chicago. It’s been serving delicious dishes since 1999, and has managed to evolve with the neighborhood over time. No need to say that the brunch is a must-try… Everyday, Lula welcomes you in a cozy, nice atmosphere for a tasty and homemade meal, made with local products.
For the brunch, you can expect house pastries (raspberry and pistachio bostock, cranberry scone, pear vol au vent with sweet crème fraiche)., “the Royale” (Lula sandwich with sweet capicola, mozzarella, mustard aioli, Brussels sprout slaw, farm egg, Kaiser bun), vanilla bread pudding French toast, cornmeal fried green tomato (sweet potato polenta, stracchino, spaghetti squash, roasted chiles, poached eggs), buckwheat granola, banana griddle cakes (fresh bananas, dulce de leche, candied walnuts) omelet (swan creek duck leg, balsamic, ricotta, duck fat fingerling potatoes, housemade seeded wheat toast with fid and molasses butter), or red pozole (braised pork shoulder, 3 sisters hominy, fermented black bean crema, corn tortilla, pickled chiles, 60 minute egg).
