Hell’s Kitchen is an area in Manhattan, New York. The neighbourhood lies between 34th Street and 59th street, with Eighth Avenue to the east and the Hudson River providing the western border. The area was once a poor neighbourhood, but has since been gentrified, and is convenient for Broadway and a number of other features – the area is very popular with up-and-coming actors. Hell’s Kitchen is an excellent place to have brunch over a week-end, and has an excellent selection of restaurants. Since the area is still in the process of climbing the property ladder, this is an excellent place to find a cheap restaurant or a delicious buffet, and will be for a while. The tree-lined side streets are good for a morning ramble to walk off your meal, and Hell’s Kitchen is filled with small parks and green spaces where children can relax and play, or the whole family can sit down for a picnic. If you’re looking for a place with an ethnic touch, Ninth Avenue is a haven for its wide selection of ethnic restaurants, any of which would be ideal for a Saturday or Sunday brunch with a cultural flair. It’s an excellent place to take children – have brunch every week-end at a different restaurant and broaden your children’s cultural horizons forever. The Ninth Avenue Association hosts an International Food Festival between 42nd and 57th Streets in May, which is a spectacular opportunity to enjoy what amounts to the largest brunch buffet in the world.
