Studio City is one of the most famous areas of Los Angeles, home of the famous Ventura Boulevard, which has featured in almost every movie set in the city. It is set between Valley Village, Toluca Lake and Universal City, with Hollywood Hills West to the south. The area is served by the Universal City/Studio City station on the Red Line, which is located on Lankershim Boulevard – convenient for Universal City and Studio City both. It’s a beautiful area, filled with lovely restaurants and interesting sights, and the perfect place to spend a week-end. It’s a delightful place to spend a week-end browsing the interesting and original shops, and there is a restaurant to every taste, for those who would like to spend a Saturday or a Sunday morning browsing the brunch buffets. Many of the restaurants are child-friendly, so the area is perfect for visiting with family. Among the points of interest for the area is the Fryman Canyon Park. For those at all fond of nature, this park is a virtual heaven on earth, featuring spectacular views and hiking trails. The Wilacre Park is also worth a visit, while those who enjoy river views will take great pleasure in the Los Angeles River Walk, which winds beside the beautiful Los Angeles River. For the more urban tourist, Studio City is a treasure trove of fascinating buildings, many of which were designed by noted architect Rudolph Schindler. The CBS Studio Centre is also located in Studio City, but is unfortunately not open to the public.
